10 reviews for iHealth Track Smart Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

  1. Li

I’ve been using iHealth product for close a year now and it’s their thermometer ( not a smart thermometer just a forehead thermometer). It’s almost the best value and good design forehead thermometer I could found in the market and the accuracy is guaranteed by following the instructions as it’s an infrared thermometer.

I bought this iHealth Track wireless blood pressure monitor for my parents. Their readings are always higher at the doctor’s office so I just wondered about the accuracy for this machine, but explained by the primary care doctor it maybe related to the white coat hypertension. For me I tried it and the readings are almost the same as the reading at the doctor’s office so I trusted our family doctor. We used Omron 5 blood pressure monitor before but it’s without the smart feature that allows my family member to upload the data to the smartphone. Thanks for the smart app by iHealth , they allows to export to CSV, EXCEL and PDF file directly and it’s the most time saving to type manually via email to our doctor!

COMPARING OMRON 5 SERIES AND IHEALTH TRACK BLUETOOTH BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR : CUFF, DISPLAY, POWER AND FEATURES

OMRON 5 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor :
-2 Users and 100 Reading memory (50 memory per user)
-Soft cuff which I like better than iHealth Track, it fits arm circumferences from 9 to 17 inches in circumference
-with lens cover which iHealth Track does not have, it’s for the protection of LCD display.
    -4 AA batteries
    -Hard plastic shell
-Measuring during deflection which same as iHealth Track, around 40 seconds for me to finish a testing.
-Size is bigger than iHealth Track blood pressure monitor.
    – Accuracy is okay as same as the iHealth Track, normal for me but higher for my parent’s readings comparing the results tested at the doctor’s office.

iHealth Track Bluetooth Upper Arm blood pressure monitor:
    – 1 User only with 99 reading memory, unlimited storage in the app and cloud! Yes, iHealth does provide free cloud service to their hardware users and you have to register an account to use it, even without the devices and use that app as a digital logbook, guess very few people using it for digital logbook if they don’t have the device.
-Seems regular normal cuff as the Relion blood pressure monitor that selling in Walmart I like Omron’s cuff more. The Track’s cuff fits upper arms with Circumference of 8.7″-16.5″ (22-42cm),quite similar like Omrom 5’s 9 to 17 inches.
    – Multi-color backlit LCD display!!! Guess this feature is from the genius’ brain! Green means normal BP level, yellow means high blood pressure and red means severe hypertension which you need to take good attention. Even without the lens cover like Omron but it doesn’t matter at all with this great feature.
    -4 x AAA batteries
    -Hard plastic shell
-Measuring during deflection and same as Omrom blood pressure monitor, around 40 seconds for me to get a result since press the start button.
-Size is quite handy comparing with Omrom 5 series BP machine.
-Accuracy is great for me as I got the almost the same results from the doctor’s office.
-Bluetooth! YES! I love this feature as bought it and the iHealth’s app is a great tool to track the blood pressure! Same as ads. I see the reviews people said it does not support iPhone 10, I think they may don’t know how to connect as it’s a Bluetooth 4.0 and needs to connect by launching the app. No problems for the app set up. You can do the things from this amazon app :
->View results and learn more about each measurement.
->Check if your blood pressure is in the normal BP range.
->Take notes and record your mood or activity with each measurement.
->Store results in a digital logbook.
    ->Real-time results and trends.
->Set reminders to measure your blood pressure.
->Export your data as CSV, XLS, or PDF to share with your doctor.

Everything you need for a good wireless upper arm blood pressure monitor iHealth Track all has.If ask me to soccer these two blood pressure monitors, I will give 6.5 to Omron 5 and 8.0 for iHealth Track. But for this price I can complain nothing as it’s almost the unbeatable price on Amazon for a blood pressure monitor with these features and nice app.You can use with or without smartphone which it’s easy for elder people using.

Hope this review has been of help–thanks for slogging through all the detail. These are all good blood pressure monitors depending on your specific needs or preferred cuff, brand, display and wireless feature.

    HAPPY MEASURING!

This blood pressure machine is an excellent value for the money. It is comfortable and very accurate. I could share data with my doctor easily and choose which format was best for my situation. I can also access the data via the app, which syncs with other iHealth devices. This feature makes accessing all my at-home data quick, efficient, and easily accessible through the app—fabulous value for the cost.

I much prefer using this to monitor and record my BP than an Omicron unit used previously. It’s more compact, the cuff is a little easier to use and I really like not having to record readings manually and email them to my PCP, they reside in the app on my phone. Getting this unit to pair via BT is not explained well in the manual and not very intuitive but once you figure it out it works well enough. The paring is only momentary after a reading has been taken. On the app you have to choose the monitor as the device you want to pair to, then pairing only lasts a couple seconds, just long enough to transfer the readings. This is unlike most BT devices that remain paired until the pairing terminated manually. The app is utilitarian, not very robust with few display options but it records all the pertinent information for each reading. I’d say it’s a decent value for the price. Can’t speak to longevity, haven’t had it very long.

This BP monitor includes complete, easy to understand instructions. In fact, the cuff has placement instructions (picture) printed directly on it. The Android app downloaded and installed quickly to my phone and within seconds it connected (via Bluetooth) to the monitor. This set the date and time on the monitor screen. I do like that it is battery powered, so there’s no cord and no need to be near an outlet.

There are just 2 buttons on the unit itself. One to power on the unit & start the reading and the other to connect & upload readings. After uploading, the app displays results over time in a line chart and saves a dated history. It also allows you to select and share results in 3 formats: CSV, XLS or PDF. (This is especially handy if you need to send them to your doctor.)

I also have a much older (20+ years) BP monitor that is not battery operated. I mention this only because I noticed the readings on this newer iHealth unit are on average 2-4 points higher than the older unit. I can’t say at this point which unit is (closer to) accurate, but it will be easy to carry this new unit with me the next time I visit my cardiologist and compare its reading with his equipment.

All in all, I like the ease of use and the intuitiveness of this unit. If anything should change my opinion over time, I’ll come back and update this review.

I recently purchased the iHealth Track Smart Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for my father-in-law, who is a heart patient requiring regular blood pressure monitoring. The wide-range cuff accommodates standard to large adult arms comfortably, ensuring accurate readings. The Bluetooth compatibility with iOS and Android devices has made the monitoring process seamless, allowing us to easily track and share the data with healthcare professionals. The user-friendly design and reliability of this monitor have added a level of convenience to the crucial task of monitoring blood pressure twice a day, providing valuable insights for better management of his heart health. Overall, it has become an essential tool in our daily routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone in need of a reliable and user-friendly blood pressure monitor.

I’m 72 years old. I had a PaceMaker implanted for bradycardia 3.5 years ago. Three weeks after the implant I had a stroke. That brings up the question of whether or not the implantation of the PM caused a stroke, but that’s a question for another time. I have high blood pressure and as far as I know it has always been high. I have an Omron, and Alcedo and now this BP monitor. They all read differently but relatively consistent with each other when I take my BP. Each one reads about 10 points higher or lower than the other monitor at the same time.

This one is easy to use except for the arm band which is a nuisance for the grippiness of the velcro. Once I have it set i can slide it on/off without peeling the velcro which removes the nuisance factor.

The app is easy to use and saves the info to my phone almost automatically. The picture attached is a screenshot of some of the readings. Notice the “27 new listings to upload” and the “Save Data” at the bottom? If you click “Save Data” it will load this info onto your phone and REMOVE all the data from the BP monitor itself. Be carefull about “Saving Data” to your phone because you will lose the nice “makes sense” read outs on your phone and produce it all graphically on your phone which, in my opinion, is not nearly as clear or as intuitive an “Excel-like” display on your phone before “saving” the data. The second pic is one of the data as it appears AFTER you have saved the data to your phone. The dots and line let you read data over weeks/months/year. I prefer the data display in pic 1 over pic 2, the format being so easy to read the date/time/BP.

The reading in pic 1 are on the 3 dates on the screen and measurements taken about 2 minutes apart. You can see the high excursion to 168 and 174 systolic readings which were confirmed on the other 2 BP monitors either just before or after these readings with similarly high numbers.

FYI; at 72 years I don’t smoke or drink, watch my diet and am pretty active. No family record of high blood pressure. I have high cholesterol but no evidence of plaque or blockage of my arteries. I get no explanation for the cause. They checked me out at the time of my pacemaker and stroke pretty well but nothing. I’m experimenting with Muk Ta Vati, an herbal remedy from India (Google it) and supplementing with lisinopril right now. I have been prescribed Channel Chain Blockers, Beta Blockers, and Ace Inhibitors but none of those seem to work with the possible exception of Amlodipine which caused me to feel stupefied when my blood pressure was down. Enough about me, this blood pressure monitor is a good reference tool. I get numbers in ranges, never is it EXACTLY the same when taking readings minutes or hours apart. And my number can vary by 50 points in the systolic numbers.

This unit provides great results in the app. It is consistent and accurate. It is easy to use and many options to share with your physician or other folks who are concerned with your health.

I ordered the iHealth Track Smart Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor because my doctor wants me to start measuring and tracking my blood pressure on a daily (at least for now) basis.

As I started looking at blood pressure monitors I had a number of characteristics and functions that I preferred in the unit I ordered including the following:
    1) An affordable/ reasonably priced unit (preferably under $50).
    2) A unit that had an integrated rechargeable battery (because I hate the waste created by regular batteries).
    3) Bluetooth integration with an app that would not only store and display my blood pressure data but would also provide a graphic display to more readily visualize results and trends.
    4) An app that allows me to easily share data (including both raw and graphic) via email with my doctor.
    5) A unit with at least 4 stars on Amazon and overall positive reviews.

The iHealth Track Smart Blood Pressure Monitor met all but one of my criteria. I could not find any digital blood pressure monitors that utilize a integrated rechargeable battery. This really surprised me given the advanced in battery technology and the fact that you can get reliable rechargeable batteries in most electronics today. Aside from that, the iHealth unit meet all the others.

The iHealth Track Smart Blood Pressure Monitor is easy and quick to setup and use. It includes 4 AAA batteries (required for use) although those I received were very low on power according to the units battery level indicator. I downloaded the units free app and quickly connected to the monitor via Bluetooth. Sufficiently detailed instructions are included and use is straightforward and easy. I did have some difficulty transferring the data from the monitor to the app on my phone until I read that low battery power may prevent the transfer despite the monitor functioning to measure b.p. I swapped out batteries and was able to quickly and easily transfer data to the app. I haven’t attempted to email data yet as I just opened and set up my monitor; I’ll wait until I have at least 2 weeks data before forwarding it.

The iHealth Track Smart Blood Pressure Monitor works very well and is reasonably priced but I do have a few issues with the unit: 1) I wish, like many other units, that the iHealth Monitor allowed powering it through a USB connection in addition to batteries; 2) I don’t like the open space around the power and function buttons as it will allow dust and dirt entry into the unit (not to mention moisture and adventurous little bugs); and 3) I certainly would have appreciated even a soft bag/ case to store the cuff and monitor in.

My doctor recommended I get an arm blood pressure cuff to monitor at home after a particularly high reading during a stressful visit. I ordered this iHealth one after reading the reviews and knowing I was borderline on my arm circumference at 16 inches. I tried the included cuff and it felt way too tight and gave me way higher of a reading than was expected as a result. I saw in their instruction manual that they sell an xl cuff, and hunted around amazon to find it and order it. Two days later, I tested again with the XL cuff and had a much more normal reading.

I’m glad the machine worked, but it should’ve let me choose which cuff to order on this same listing rather than requiring me to hunt around for the additional cuff, especially when most of the reviews were warning how snug the original one is.

I also really don’t like the colored screen. I wish there was an option to turn it off. It brings up my anxiety which, in turn, brings up my blood pressure. I can read numbers and know what they mean without a yellow screen saying my numbers are in the high normal range. It feels more like a punishment rather than just a neutral reading of what’s happening in my own body.

Overall, it works, I just wish they thought about their patients who need a larger cuff in the listing itself rather than forcing the smaller one on us first. Because the cuff wasn’t included with the blood pressure device, I was unable to reimburse the additional charge with my FSA account which was another further annoyance.
