We are testing a method to reboot non-communicating satellites experiencing software issues using ground-based lasers. A brief laser pulse directed at the satellite’s solar panels can induce a power surge, triggering a system reboot. This enables the transmission of software updates and the restoration of the satellite’s full functionality. Our solution offers substantial economic and environmental benefits.
